Meadowlands Utility Advisors

A redesign mockup for a commercial energy advisor: a free bill review that starts with a ZIP code and qualifies the account one question at a time.

Meadowlands Utility Advisors home page with a ZIP code form for a free bill review

The problem

An energy advisor asks business owners to hand over a bill, which is a lot to ask of someone who has only just found the site. The page has to explain what can and can't change on that bill before anyone will send one.

What I built

  • A one-question-per-screen bill review: ZIP code, who the bill is for, property type, monthly bill and contract status, with contact details last.
  • Separate question paths for commercial accounts and homes, so each visitor only sees what applies to them.
  • A plain explanation of the one part of an energy bill that can be shopped, and why switching supplier doesn't touch the power supply.
  • Verified client reviews and an FAQ placed around the questions people ask before sending a bill.

How it's tracked

  • Form starts, leads and phone taps tracked, with browser and server events sharing one event ID so each lead counts once.
  • Attribution attached to every request, so a lead can be traced to the post or campaign it came from.
  • One tracked phone line across the whole site, so calls can be counted too.

Where it stands

Redesign mockup built for the client; not live on the client's domain. The form runs in demo mode and sends nothing.
